Position: State Support Team (SST) Consultant (Literacy Focus)Location: State Support Team Region 14 Hopewell Center Southern Ohio Educational Service CenterGeneral Description: Under administrative direction the State Support Team (SST) School Improvement Consultant provides highquality technical assistance and professional development to school district and instructional leaders for the purpose of building capacity to plan and implement school improvement processes. Reference the job description linked below for additional :Masters Degree in the area for which employee has primary responsibility (i.e. education special education early childhood education education administration or an appropriate related field or evidence of equivalency).Three to five years of successful classroom teaching school improvement planning special education administration or related experience; a license appropriate to the individuals profession (special education administration intervention specialist early learning age 3 to grade 3 related services).Expertise and/or significant leadership experience in several of the following areas:Knowledge of IDEA ESSA and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA);Data analysis including databased decision making and a thorough understanding of Ohios accountability system;Researchbased instructional practices particularly development and implementation of academic and behavior supports;Focused planning including use of strategic problem solving;Coaching and consultation skills;Implementation and monitoring of improvement efforts;Culturally responsive practices;Delivery of highquality professional development and technical assistance;School administration;Early childhood education preschool special education early education preschool to grade 3 or other early childhood setting such as Head Start or communitybased childcare; and/orSpecial Certified pass a criminal background drivers license and reliable Job Description and Salary Schedule B can be found at Experience:
