Richmond VA Retail shopThe Warehouse Associate ensures the secure storage labeling and organized stocking of incoming materials at the warehouse. This role also involves managing equipment and maintaining an inventory of Airgas Cylinders on customer sites. Responsibilities encompass picking packing and distributing supplies for delivery to customers through outside carriers or local Airgas drivers. Collaborates with Airgas Sales Specialists vendor partners and industry best practices to enhance customer business practices and introduce new products.
Manage material stock labeling picking/packing and distribution.
Verify material deliveries and issue physical receipts.
Handle the movement of cylinders and VGLs on customer premises.
Resolve customer complaints using company resources.
Adjust inventory for seasonal customer needs.
Place and process orders via system.
Conduct scheduled warehouse material inventory checks.
Enhance customer practices using Sales Specialists partners and best practices.
Organize and oversee site warehouse inventory.
Review product invoices as per Company policy.
Operate forklifts and handling equipment safely.
Follow Company SOPs for distribution and safety.
Maintain site cleanliness and organization.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
Physically capable of lifting 2575 lbs. routinely and up to >100 lbs. occasionally. Able to handle liquid containers up to 1000 lbs.
Regular bending stooping crouching reaching grasping and repetitive motion.
Comfortable with occasional climbing balancing kneeling pushing pulling and fine motor tasks such as tightening ratchet binders.
Able to work overtime if needed.
Preferred: 2 years warehouse operations or maintenance experience.
Preferred: Background in gas welding safety supply or chemical industries.
Previous forklift operation experience preferred.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Capable of troubleshooting testing repairing and servicing technical equipment.
