Job Description
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing consulting projects across a wide range of engineering disciplines. This role requires expertise in building envelope structural integrity and property assessment. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with property stakeholders legal professionals and contractors and serve as a technical leader on multidisciplinary projects. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections developing reports providing expert consultation and overseeing project execution from evaluation through remediation.
Structural inspections reserve studies water intrusion investigations property turnover surveys concrete restoration painting and waterproofing programs property condition assessments asphalt pavement evaluations drainage erosion and ground settlement studies roof consulting and design and envelope consulting milestone inspections and reporting fullscope project management.
The role supports the Regional Director in areas such as financial oversight budgeting and manpower planning leveraging deep expertise in architectural design and construction practices.
This position offers a competitive relocation package for those not based in Naples FL.
Qualifications :
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review drawings specifications cost estimates project schedules and other documents to ensure accuracy code compliance and readiness for client issuance.
- Identify complex problems and provide innovative solutions across disciplines.
- Participate in all project phases including construction contract preparation preconstruction conferences schedule reviews pay request approvals change order evaluations construction issue resolution final inspections and closeout procedures.
- Attend and represent staff at predesign prebid and preconstruction meetings.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and flag potential issues; resolve problems through design modifications or coordination.
- Maintain accurate time records daily and ensure work stays within project budgets.
- Review architectural construction documents for design conflicts code issues and constructability.
- Ensure plans align with project goals client expectations and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate drawing coordination between disciplines (e.g. structural MEP) and highlight omissions or inconsistencies.
- Identify and mitigate risks early in the design process to reduce RFIs change orders and delays.
- Recommend improvements to enhance constructability compliance or efficiency.
- Ensure integration of building codes accessibility standards and zoning regulations.
- Provide structured review summaries with professional constructive feedback.
- Stay current on industry best practices materials systems and regulatory changes.
- Mentor team members and support internal training efforts to enhance documentation quality.
- Assist during construction administration when needed to clarify design intent.
- Perform all other duties assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- BS Engineering with 10 years experience and registered PE license
- Must have experience with managing projects independently and leading a team
- Must have experience in a minimum of three of the following areas: building envelope roof consulting forensic engineering concrete restoration commercial waterproofing capital reserve studies
- Must have the ability to communicate efficient and affectively orally and written with other staff members and clients.
