Reports To: School Principal
Job Goal
Support the effective operation of the school by assisting in instructional leadership enforcing policies promoting a safe and positive school climate coordinating activities and ensuring the smooth flow of communication among all stakeholders.
Performance Functions
Promote and sustain a positive inclusive school environment through clear respectful communication with students staff families and the broader school community.
Assist in the administration of daytoday school operations to support the principal and ensure alignment with school district and state expectations.
Lead and participate in meetings (e.g. curriculum development safety school improvement district committees) to support planning and accountability for school goals.
Support the management of school functions including scheduling student discipline staff support parent communication and staffing to ensure the school operates efficiently and equitably.
Prepare and maintain documentation such as reports communications and records to support administrative functions and ensure transparency.
Delegate responsibilities as appropriate to promote shared leadership and operational efficiency.
Observe and evaluate the performance of assigned instructional and support staff in accordance with district guidelines and professional growth expectations.
Facilitate effective communication and conflict resolution among staff students and families to foster a supportive school climate.
Lead the implementation and evaluation of highquality instructional practices that promote equity access and academic excellence for all students.
Represent the school in community forums and meetings (e.g. PTO School Improvement Council IEPs manifestation determination hearings) to build relationships and advocate for school needs.
Attend and actively engage in professional learning activities including workshops and seminars to remain current in best practices and policy updates.
Supervise and support faculty and staff to promote professional growth and ensure the successful implementation of the schools instructional and operational goals.
Specific Job Requirements
Terms of Employment:
Contract days applicable to Elementary/Middle/Secondary Level; salary and work year to be established by the Board
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
