Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is excited to offer and announce an opportunity to serve as a Senior Program Analyst in the Asset Management Division in our Central Office. This position is located in Richmond Virginia.

The successful candidate will facilitate and coordinate with program stakeholders to budget monitor report and analyze the funding allocated to highway infrastructure maintenance across the Commonwealth.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Implementation: Plan develop and ensure implementation of projects with program support for VDOTs business functions.
Business Process Needs Identification: Work with management and leadership to strategically identify and prioritize needed business processes.
Business Processes Development and Management: Develop and manage business processes related to assigned program areas.
Program Review: Identify agency risk challenges and opportunities for assigned program areas.
Standard Operating Procedures: Develop documentation and implementation information needed to support standard operating procedures for all functions.
Business Process Improvement: Provide technical and expert consultation to employees at levels of the business unit on critical knowledge needed to support process improvement and decision making.
External Representation: Represent VDOT programs to external parties.

VDOT is an emergency operation agency. Positions physically working within Central Office locations may be designated upon request with coordination among the respective District Engineer or Administrator and Chief. Assignments are updated annually. Not all designated employees are provided with an emergency operations assignment.
Once onboarded this position may be eligible for telework opportunities; availability hours and duration of telework shall be approved as outlined in the Commonwealth telework policy (only for eligible positions).
VDOT utilizes a marketbased pay program which has been approved by DHRM. Therefore advertised rates of pay may or may not align with the Commonwealth pay bands.
