In this position
This position is for an Internal Propulsion Thermal Systems Engineering (IPTSE) Design and Release(D&R) Engineer on the Inline Engine Powerpack Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for design and release activities associated with engine components on current and forward model applications.
What youll do
Youll have
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
2 years of experience with Powertrain engineering
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc)
An eagerness to work crossfunctionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
Even better you may have
Masters degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Prior Design and Release experience.
Proven delivery of balanced Quality Cost Weight and Functional attributes for components / subsystems.
Utilization of Six Sigma tools & problemsolving tools. (8Ds 3 legged 5 Whys etc.)
Knowledge of functions and components of an internal combustion engine
Knowledge of GD&T / dimensional control PPAP and APQP principals.
Prior experience executing effective quality documentation (i.e. FMEAs Control Plans SCCAFs etc.)
Knowledge of GD&T / dimensional control PPAP and APQP principals.
Basic knowledge of NVH Materials Durability and Manufacturing processes.
