As a Taxpayer Service Information Trainee you will receive instructions on providing effective customer service the use of a variety of technologies and related technical and nontechnical issues. Your customer service skills will be key as you provide verbal responses to taxpayer inquiries received by telephone. Inquiries are generally related to tax filing requirements taxability issues attainment of returns requests for assistance in completing tax forms and related schedules the status of return and claim processing as well as coupon and forms requests. Work includes performing mathematical calculations of tax liabilities reviewing alleged account discrepancies and providing a solution to resolve the issues. Additional responsibilities include:
