Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of foods including appetizers main courses and desserts according to recipes and quality standards.
- Set up the cooking station with all necessary supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served following health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including utensils appliances and work areas.
- Help in stocking and maintaining the inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with the training of new kitchen staff as needed to promote teamwork and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods ingredients and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative team player attitude.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in food preparation and handling.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
