Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is for ensuring that all students and families experience a welcoming efficient and accurate enrollment experience in alignment with district policies legal requirements and vision.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

Assists families with completing new student enrollment transfers and reenrollment processes.
Reviews and verifies student registration documents for accuracy and eligibility (e.g. proof of residency age immunization records custody papers).
Ensures enrollment procedures comply with district policies state regulations and federal laws.
Provides clear and courteous communication in person by phone and through email with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs.
Accurately enters and updates student information
Maintains confidentiality and data integrity in accordance with FERPA and district standards.
Assists with generating reports rosters and enrollment statistics as needed.
Works closely with school personnel and other departments in supporting families.
Promotes equitable access to district resources and educational opportunities for all students.
Assists in evaluating and refining enrollment procedures that create a humancentered experience for families.
Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to and is supervised by the Supervisor of Student Placement.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer servicerelated position
Bilingual or Multilingual

Preferred:
Associates degree in business or related field
Experience within a publicschool district

Allowable Substitutions:
Education beyond a high school diploma may be substituted for experience


KNOWLEDGE (position requirements at entry):

Possesses understanding of applicable District Policies and Procedures regarding Enrollment Release of Students and Nonresident Students
Demonstrates an understanding of State and District Reporting requirements
Understands and addresses privacy requirements for student information
Possesses knowledge of required computer applications and programs for the position

SKILLS (position requirements at entry):

Demonstrates planning skills required for completion of key work responsibilities
Handles a large volume of documentation and student residency materials with a high level of detail orientation and accuracy
High proficiency in MS Office with a focus on Excel
Possesses creative problemsolving skills
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and move between multiple tasks with ease and professionalism in a fastpaced environment
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
Demonstrates multicultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and collaboratively work with diverse populations including the ability to communicate with families who have varying degrees of English proficiency
Ability to work under pressure and meet inflexible deadlines which may require working additional hours including some weekends
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with all applicable Board policies District and legal requirements
Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require: stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts odors chemicals extreme temperatures inadequate lighting workspace restrictions and intense noises.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

CTSA Pay Grade 2 $65508 to $72403 (starting wage $65508) 40 hours per week for a 260day assignment. This position is nonexempt.

Medical dental vision longterm disability and lifeinsurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Other benefits include vacation and paid holidays.
