UCTis looking for a talentedQuality Managerto join us inHayward CA!Their responsibility focuses on delivering product quality and managing internal customer and supplier issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for product quality issues expected to partner with Manufacturing various Engineering teams Purchasing/Materials/Supply Chain Sales and Operations management.Escalations to nextlevel management as applicable based on the severity of the issue.
- Develop and maintain quality plans for products manage internal customer and supplier issues and enable robust quality products and predictable business processes.
- Demonstrate skill in preventive quality engineering methods data analysis critical thinking structured problem solving (8D) the use of metrics to identify opportunities and business process improvement. Present performance and action plans to align goals & objectives during regular monthly reviews.
- Business process improvement experience required must demonstrate an ability to define and creatively implement quality business systems within the Operations teams.Maintain quality ISO 9001 SSQA and other internal and external audit processes in alignment with company and customer requirements.
- Develop maintain and support continuous Improvement efforts. This includes Interacting with customers at all levels. Suppliers and all UCT sites across Engineering Operations Quality Customer Service/Support and management.
- Manage a team with functional responsibility for Customer Internal and Supplier quality inspection and various aspects of the quality management system.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Audit experience in product process and system audits.
- Experience managing critical customer communication.
- Experience with Lean 6S zero defect manufacturing processes inspection methods and tools.
- Excellent communication skills
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Quality or other related field or equivalent experience.
- Mechanical Engineering background is a plus.
- ASQC CQA CQE or CQM certification preferred.
Work Experience:
- 5 10 years experience in Engineering Operations Quality & Reliability.
- Experience with successful leadership for quality and manufacturing systems business process improvement and problemsolving.
Management Experience:
- 5 years directly related supervisory/management experience.
Work Environment:

- Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing office warehouse and/or cleanroom environment.
Environmental Exposure:
- Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
- Subject to noise levels in factory.
- Moderate noise levels from printers faxes computer etc.
Travel:
- Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting). 10%

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $98200 and $157200/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements includingvariable pay and discretionary awardsin addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired employee will be in an atwill position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
