Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Education or relevant subject area preferred
- Certification in Wellness required Health Certification preferred
- Experience in providing instructional leadership in Health and Wellness
- Knowledgeable of Health and Wellness Curriculum & best instructional practices
- Knowledgeable and experienced in implementing the Educator Evaluation System
- Alternative or additional qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent
REPORTS TO: BuildingPrincipals andAssistant Superintendent
SUPERVISES: Health and Wellness Teachers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision evaluation and provision of feedback to include a minimum of 1 observation per year unless otherwise agreed to by the building principal.
Instructional consulting/coaching as needed in collaboration with theAssistant Superintendent
Coordination of Department Meetings in consultation with building principals and Assistant Superintendent
Approval of Purchase Orders
Participate in Professional Development with the Assistant Superintendent as part of the Teaching and Learning Team
Coordinate Professional Development with the approval of the Assistant Superintendent
Monitor recommend and lead any required updates to the Curriculum Maps and assure alignment to resources
Participate in the development of benchmark assessments
Participate in pilot curriculum programming in collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent
SALARY: In accordance with teachers contract Exhibit C.
