    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in area of assignment
    2. Five years of successful classroom teaching experience
    3. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
    4. Experience working with diverse learners in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
    5. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
    6. Specialized training in reading/language arts math and/or English Language Development (ELD) preferred
    7. Experience providing professional development to staff and/or implementation of the coaching cycle.



    REPORTS TO: Principal

    JOB GOAL: To provide professional development coaching and support for teachers in literacy math and/or ELD methodology and effective strategies; to guide and support the Professional Learning Community; assist teachers by modeling literacy and early intervention strategies in the classroom; to provide training and support for teachers in navigating the curriculum and planning reading/language arts math and/or ELD instruction

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Works with teachers to help analyze and improve instructional practices (i.e. coaching cycle)
    2. Provides feedback and professional development for teachers on deconstruction of grade level standards instructional strategies and classroom practices aligned to research and standardsbased instruction
    3. Conducts modeled demonstration lessons and assists with curriculum to ensure that all students achieve mastery with grade level content standards
    4. Supports teachers with development of students critical thinking problem solving creative collaborative and communication skills at high levels to shape resilient learners
    5. Assists with administration of ongoing formative and District assessments and data analysis
    6. Attends and provides support during professional learning community meetings to assist teachers in utilizing data to align instruction rigor of grade level standards
    7. Collaborates with teachers and administration to integrate culturally responsive strategies and methodologies into classroom practice
    8. Assists teachers in planning appropriate intervention and differentiation strategies for students including English Language learners students with disabilities and all students with diverse needs
    9. Meets regularly with site administrators teachers and district instructional support staff to further communication and strengthen instructional support to school staff
    10. Supports effective implementation of school site and District initiatives
    11. Assists in developing classroom management strategies
    12. Attends specialized training in coaching reaching/language arts math and/or ELD
    13. Models personal and professional values of equity integrity caring collaboration personal and collective accountability
    14. Performs other related duties as assigned

    SALARY: $78145 $133656 annually; Salary amounts are inclusive of a $5700 position stipend.


    EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Districts Improvement of
    Professional Services handbook Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with
    collective bargaining agreements when applicable

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operators license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
