Job Description:
The Andersons Inc. Denison IA
Each year as part of the Renewables segment The Andersons refines corn into millions of gallons of ethanol a lowcost cleanburning highoctane renewable fuel product for refiners fuel blenders and conveniencestores.
In addition to ethanol these facilities collectively produce E85 feed products and corn oil which is key to the renewable dieselindustry.
As a Grain Quality Inspector you will play a crucial role in assessing and ensuring the quality of grains produced or processed in various agricultural settings. The primary focus of this role is to inspect test and analyze grains to determine their suitability for consumption processing or export. Training is provided!
Position Overview
This position is responsible for sampling testing grading weighing all incoming grain.
Schedule/Shift
Monday thru Friday AM shift (6:30a4:00p)
NOTE Occasional weekend hours may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Collect grain samples using automated or manual grain probe and other equipment as required.
Accurately inspect inbound grain for moisture content size weight color and foreign presence. Make grading determination in accordance with the Scale & Inspection Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform accurate data entry and maintain required documentation and recordkeeping.
Provide high level of customer support to drivers and location merchants.
Performs housekeeping duties in work area and other areas of grain as required.

Has developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience
Works within established procedures
Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
12 years relevant experience required
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Work is performed in a facility that operates 24x7
Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
Working conditions could include; dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfaces
