PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring materials and workmanship meet specifications and code requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting and testing mechanical systems identifying non-conformities and recommending corrective actions. The role supports Worleys ambition to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainability solutions by ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and standards helping to deliver safe and efficient projects across the energy chemicals and resources sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct inspections of mechanical systems materials and workmanship to verify compliance with specifications industry codes and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineering procurement and construction teams to ensure adherence to project quality standards.
Identify and document non-conformities ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken in alignment with project and company guidelines.
Participate in quality audits and assessments contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide guidance on quality assurance practices assisting teams in understanding and applying relevant quality procedures.
Support project execution by offering technical expertise in mechanical quality control helping to resolve issues and optimize performance.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results tests and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Adhere to Worleys sustainability commitments by promoting responsible quality control practices that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
