The Knight Campus Business Operations and Administration Team (BOAT) operates as a hub of experts who provide high quality exceptional business operations and administrative services to all units and programs in the Knight Campus. Service areas include fullcycle activities in human resources operations financial operations research administration/operations academic administration/operations and general business operations. The BOAT provides business services to all Knight Campus units which are continually growing at a remarkable pace as we scale up to achieve our mission of science advancing society with a vision to dramatically shorten the timeline between discovery and societal impact through worldclass research training and entrepreneurship.
The Knight Campus seeks a detailoriented adaptable organized and communicative individual to provide highlevel business support for our growing graduate academic programs.
The Academic Business Coordinator will be responsible for a broad set of assignments related to the Knight Campus which regularly requires the ability to exercise independent judgment while executing the priorities identified by the Assistant Director of Academic Administration (ADAA). This position is responsible for providing essential financial business and regulatory services for the Knight Campus Masters Instructors students and academic programs. This position will require the ability to work independently demonstrate sound judgment and exercise creative problemsolving skills while providing business operations support to multiple Knight Campus academic units.
Additionally this position provides strong business operations and administration support to the graduate academic programs in the Knight Campus. Responsibilities will include coordinating the student admissions cycle enrollment processes course scheduling and registration cycles tracking tuition generation budgets vs. actuals annual budgeting support event management purchasing A/P and A/R financial reporting onsite classroom management coordinating large group meetings and facilitating collaboration discussions generating and sending unit wide communications managing complicated travel itineraries project management and more. This position will regularly interface with external constituents administrative colleagues faculty and students on behalf of the Knight Campus Masters Program and other academic programs.
This position will report directly to the ADAA and will be an essential role on a growing team. The Academic Business Coordinator will be a crucial element of the support structure that is necessary for the billiondollar academic research and innovation enterprise of the Knight Campus.
A bachelors degree PLUS 2 years of progressively responsible business operations or administration experience. OR
6 years of progressively responsible business operations or administration experience.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Commitment to promoting an inclusive work environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with overlapping deadlines and frequent interruptions while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Proficiency with software programs including: HRIS/FIS platforms MS Office Suite Google Suite and Adobe.
A Bachelors or advanced degree in Business Finance Management Public Administration or a closely related field.
1 year of project management experience related to business or finance administration in higher education research organizations or a related environment.
1 year of experience with financial transactions governed by regulations and complex policies.
Experience providing customer service in a professional environment.
Experience with BANNER Concur and/or similar financial information system.
