Job Description

Starts at $68000 commesurate with experience

Job Function

Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer the Supplemental Instructional Technology Coordinator is responsible for assisting in developing and implementing TBPs strategies for technology use to advance all academic objectives. The Instructional Technology Coordinator will work with company management school management technology management academic department administrators teachers and students to develop a unified technology teaching plan. The technology teaching plan will incorporate instructional materials equipment programs and applications to identify instructional needs and focus resources toward meeting these needs. The Supplemental Instructional Technology Coordinator will work as a colleague and mentor with classroom teachers and technology staff to support student learning.

Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Related to the districts technology programs:
Identifies existing district technology tools and teaching strategies.
Applies researchbased bestpractices to develop instructional strategies with technology focused on improving student achievement.
Under the direction of the CAO coordinates with education and technology management to identify areas where technology could improve instruction and works together with curriculum campus management teachers and aides to integrate technology to enhance instruction.
In conjunction with the Exec. Director of Academics constructs datadriven measurement tools to identify student and teacher participation with technology.
In collaboration with technology management utilize the district Skyward application for scheduling attendance reports grade reports and data mining projects.
Maintains and develops application rostering in conjunction with technology management.
Disseminates measured participation information to district management campus management teachers and instructional aides.
Disseminates information regarding current research and significant developments in technology education at the state and national level.
Provides whole group small group and/or onetoone instruction with teachers and education management regarding technology instruction.
Collaborates extensively with technology management campus management teachers support teachers and aides to develop and deliver appropriate and effective technology educational tools.
Collaborates extensively with district and campus management to assist in developing and managing technology budgets and identifies new technology investments where greatest student benefit can be achieved.
Develops communitysupportive programs to extend the school day through technologybased homelearning.
Maintains appropriate confidentiality of student information.
Understands and complies with all district policies procedures and expectations as articulated in the applicable handbooks or other documentation or as communicated by administration.
Attends all instructional and technology monthly meetings. Performs and all other duties as assigned.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability and/or willingness to learn to use and understand Microsoft Office for spreadsheets letters and other written communication in order to effectively communicate information with employees administration and the Board.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree from fouryear college or university.
Valid teaching certification. Technology Applications Certification preferred.
Three years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of current instructional technology tools.
