POSITION SUMMARY

The ADP of Community Living will support the CHS mission by assisting the Director in planning leading directing coordinating developing and growing Individualized Supported Living (ISL) programs and other residential services for an assigned geographical area ensuring the successful delivery of services to Individuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise departmental operations by supporting Professional Managers (PMs) and their subordinate teams in multiple areas including training mentoring time and attendance discipline performance evaluation and professional development; participating in an oncall rotation in support of roundtheclock program operations; assuring coverage to achieve departmental goals including performing the duties of PMs in circumstances of vacancies or absences; encouraging and empowering PMs to address problems promptly and creatively and knowing when to seek guidance; monitoring compliance documentation and reporting; following policies and procedures: disseminating information throughout operational chain while promoting positivity and effective communication; and supporting and strengthening workplace inclusion diversity equity and accessibility.
  • Support Individuals in reaching their goals by leading supporting and mentoring Professional Managers (PMs); training staff to excellence; assessing program practices to identify treatment alternatives program delivery strategies and high quality and diverse community services; modeling and encouraging Tiered Supports and Missouri Quality Outcomes in the daytoday operations of all programs; utilizing available technologies in services; liaising with external agencies to build strong and effective partnerships; solving problems; and making decisions with discernment on issues involving Guardians Individuals and/or the staff who support them.
  • Advance the quality of services by developing implementing and leading quality improvement initiatives; conducting quality assurance audits and teaming with local and nonlocal quality review teams to ensure compliance with program regulations company policies and CHSs strategic mission; developing PMs to greater levels of excellence in supervision and management; and assisting in the program development and operational management of CL programs at the direction and under the supervision of the Director of Community Living.
  • Contribute to the strength of the Community Living department by maintaining knowledge of laws rules regulations policies directives and best practices which apply to programs within the CL department; ensuring departmental goals are met through community interaction and integration; incorporating CARF standards Medicaid Waiver and DMH and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) regulations into the daytoday operations of departmental programs; assisting the Director of Community Living with workforce planning; developing and maintaining expertise in programs; and supporting training initiatives implemented by the Director of Community Living in collaboration with the AVP of Community and Employment Services and HR; and instructing and implementing best practice operations.
  • Support strategic operational initiatives by supervising and monitoring strategic implementation; equipping staff with the tools knowledge and skills to accomplish organizational goals; and demonstrating stable and effective leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree (BA or BS) plus five years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience equal to nine years
  • Managerial and supervisory experience in a professional environment required
  • Experience working in the field of intellectual or developmental disabilities required
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations preferred

REQUIRED MISCELLANEOUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid drivers license
  • Reliable licensed and insured vehicle
  • Must have reliable form of communication

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift carry squat bend move push or pull sit or stand for long intermittent periods
  • Type on a keyboard for long periods
