Job Description

Food Service Aide (OnCall Coverage)

Under the supervision and directives from the Food Service Supervisor the Food Service Aide may put away stock from deliveries assist with food preparations and performs other kitchen related tasks as assigned.

HOURS OF WORK: Monday Thursday 74p variable hours based on department needs

Pay: $1518 based off prior experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Put away stock as delivered from vendors (Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs).
  • Assists in maintaining Health Department Regulations.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and care of the kitchen area and equipment.
  • Report any needs to the Food Service Supervisor.
  • Responsible for following directives of Food Service Supervisor regarding daily tasks.
  • Work with residents assigned for work experience; model appropriate values to residents in your work area.
  • Maintain close communication with members of the Food Service team and other Wedgwood staff as it relates to work performed in the above listed areas. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Regular participation in Food Service team meetings as needed for the sharing of ideas feedback and department planning.
    • Seek opportunities to grow personally and professionally through available training programs; striving to enhance the overall ability of the agency to reach its stated objectives.
    • Prepare food as needed and planned for units/departments/etc.
  • Assure all assigned tasks and responsibilities are completed prior to the end of each shift.
  • Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employees roles and functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma required
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in food preparation is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal purpose and objectives of the agency.
