What success looks like in this role:

Position Overview

As a Cloud Solutions Architect you will be instrumental in delivering cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that tightly aligns with our clients desired outcomes industry best practices Unisys cloud portfolio offerings and emerging innovative technologies.

As a key member of the client delivery team you will be principally responsible for designing developing architecting and presenting business / technical solutions that meet client needs and deliver outcomes along their cloud journeys and digital transformations.

You will be part of a highperformance team of delivery professionals that work together in designing and delivering cuttingedge cloud migration modernization and management solutions. You will participate in the full software development cycle while interacting closely with enterprise architects cloud engineering teams innovation factory teams and other stakeholders.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect for AWS in Unisys you will be responsible for designing developing cloud native solutions migrating client workloads to cloud and maintaining and managing cloud workloads that meet clients technological and business requirements. You will be responsible for optimizing cloud costs implement security best practices provide technology expertise and thought leadership propose and implement rightsized technical solutions in the cloud for different agencies. Youllcontinually be learning about new technologies and looking to the future for why and how our clients or prospects should be adopting them for value realization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and deliver cutting edge cloud technology solutions on AWS that are scalable faulttolerant secure reliable and costeffective
• Leverage automation to produce repeatable patterns and solutions
• Understand client business goals and outcomes and align them to compelling solutions.
• Discovers identifies and articulates unrecognized business value opportunities through curiosity and a focus to drive business client value.
• Design cloud solutions based on the wellarchitected framework.
• Provide thought leadership on usage and implementation of costeffective cloud solutions.
• Work closely with client stakeholders (chief architects technology SMEs etc.) to gather requirements for cloud migrations cloudnative greenfield solutions etc.

Other Responsibilities:

Cloud Solution Design and presentation

• Architect and design cloudbased solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
• Develop scalable secure and highly available cloud solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies frameworks and tools.
• Design data integrations and connectivity between cloud and onpremises systems.
• Ensure compliance with security privacy and regulatory standards.

Cloud Security Solution Design and Compliance:

• Develop and present cloud security strategies policies and solutions.
• Ensure solution compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR HIPAA or
• Stay current with evolving security threats and implement appropriate security measures.

Cloud Integration and Migration:

• Assess client environment and systems and develop strategies for migrating and/ or transformation to the cloud.
• Plan and present the seamless integration of platforms and architectures with cloudbased solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with Client business and technical teams as well as internal Unisys crossfunctional teams.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership on cloud architecture and best practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and knowledge sharing on cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Bachelors degree in relative area of study or equivalent work experience and certifications
• 10 years experience working as an architect in designing developing and delivering technology solutions for state and local clients
• Strong alliance to Google AWS Azure and other progressive cloud/container vendors is a requirement.
• Handson experiences with core cloud services (storage networking firewalls DNS databases applications data analytics compute container services) across any cloud provider preferably AWS or Azure
• Handson experience in programming and scripting technologies like Java Python Groovy Shell Go
• Handson experience in designing and developing IaC automation using terraform or other related technologies
• Handson experience designing and developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Pipelines or other CI tools
• Handson experience in developing utility scripts and tools using python or shell
• Handson experience in using DevOps tool set Git Artifactory Jenkins Sonar Fortify Spinnaker etc.
• Experience in building and deploying docker images
• Knowledge of implementing Disaster Recovery solutions onpremises or cloud
• Experience working with agile tools preferably Jira Bitbucket Confluence
• Experience developing unit tests for pipelines
• Knowledge of 12 factor app methodology
• Demonstrated experience in design patterns architecture best practices cost optimizations delivering purposebuilt solutions
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing onprem hybrid and Multicloud solutions.
• Indepth knowledge and hands on experience in AWS
• Proficiency in cloud architecture design principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of networking security and infrastructure components in the cloud.
• Experience in preparing cost estimation for cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and cloud networking
• Demonstrates strong knowledge across a wide range of services and solutions.
• Expert in emerging solutions roadmap and the business applications of technology.
• Expert knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of competitor products and services portfolio.
• Recognized industry expertise and experience.
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Masters degree in computer science information technology or related field is a plus
• Experience in designing and developing AI/ML solutions
• General Certifications TOGAF ITIL PMP SAFe Agile
• Cloud Certifications AWS Solution Architect Professional
