Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Music Educator to join the Specials team at Sam Houston Elementary. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the pedagogy and central concepts of music education as defined by the Tennessee Curriculum Standards. This role emphasizes collaboration relationshipbuilding and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students and families.
- Collaborate effectively within the Sam Houston Elementary Specials team to deliver highquality music education.
- Implement a variety of planned music experiences including singing movement instrument play and listening to enhance students enjoyment appreciation and performance in music.
- Establish and maintain high expectations for academic success and classroom behavior to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Integrate technology into instruction to facilitate effective twoway communication with all stakeholders.
- Utilize ageappropriate instructional strategies and educational best practices to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Exhibit honesty integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Lead the singing club each school year fostering a love for music among participants.
- Develop and showcase gradelevel programs for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade highlighting their musical achievements.
- A strong desire to build positive relationships with students and their families.
- Confidence in integrating technology to enhance instructional practices.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in music education.
