SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The House of Prayer Associate Pastor supports Antioch Wacos mission by coordinating House of Prayer initiatives including worship leadership ministry training event support and community building. This role shapes the churchs spiritual atmosphere by fostering a culture of prayer worship and equipping.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Antioch Waco.
- Assists other staff members when needed to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.
- Basic personal responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with Jesus through committed time to the Word worship and prayer.
- Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
- Faithfull support the ministries of Antioch Waco by maintaining wise stewardship of measures over the resources entrusted to you.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Antioch Waco (Colossians 3:2324)
- Teach the Word of God according to Antiochs doctrinal statement and topical position papers.
ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pastoral Equipping and Training:
- Provide spiritual leadership and support to House of Prayer volunteers and interns through prayer discipleship and encouragement
- Train and mentor new worship leaders and musicians through structured development programs
- Develop and teach curriculum for Antioch Discipleship Schools (Day and Night) Internships and Growth Track classes with focus on worship intercession and leadership development
- Partner with House of Prayer Pastor on prayer communitybuilding strategies communication initiatives and local and movementwide events
Prayer Room Operations:
- Support technical needs including soundboard operation basic computer troubleshooting and communication with Tech Team and Facilities Team.
- Coordinate and maintain House of Prayer schedule.
- Maintain inventory of all audio equipment including instruments cables monitors and sound hardware.
Worship Event Coordination and Scheduling:
- Lead prayer and worship meetings including worship sets events prayer gatherings mission trips and conference schedules.
- Assist in planning and facilitating House of Prayer worship sets events and special prayer gatherings.
- Assist with coordinating and supporting House of Prayer related mission trips and conferences.
- Maintain the House of Prayer worship bands and set leader schedule.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will oversee volunteers and interns.
MINISTERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Below are common ministerial functions associated with this position qualifying it to be classified as ministerial under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Administers the sacraments
- Conducts religious worship
- Management responsibilities at Antioch Waco
- Ordained commissioned or licensed
- Considered to be a religious leader by Antioch Waco
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years experience leading worship
- Strong communication and people skills
- Experience in training and equipping others in worship and prayer
- Ability to multitask and manage technical needs related to sound and media
- Flexible and able to joyfully adapt to a variety of ministries
- Strong organizational skills and event coordination experience
- Heart for discipleship and developing others spiritually and musically
