Job Description

Role:

Manages and influences the profitability of the branch with particular emphasis on relationship sales; expands the sales culture and sales processes and provides leadership and resources to achieve desired results; directs branch staff activities towards attainment of branch goals; utilizes problem solving decision making team building skills and maintains a high degree of flexibility; promotes high morale and exhibits positive attitudes towards members and fellow employees while instilling a sense of team spirit throughout the branch. Perform other duties as assigned.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for complying with all laws statutes rules and regulations which govern the credit union including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Responsible for achieving financial sales and service goals as determined by the Credit Unions strategic plan through the management of assigned branch staff. Serves as a sales leader; communicates sales philosophy; conducts weekly sales meeting; ensures branches are obtaining or exceeding sales goals; and utilizes sales referral and member service skills to ensure the members needs are being met through efficient and effective service.
  • Responsible for supervising and developing each employee to their highest potential by identifying their strengths and areas for improvement and appropriately coaching training or correcting the employees performance.
  • Prepare annual evaluations that accurately measure employee performance and provide direction for their future growth and development. Recognize employees who perform at a high level.
  • Review expectations of sales objectives with staff; monitors employees overall performance; coach continuously emphasizing accuracy awareness of member needs and seizing of sales opportunities; provide positive reinforcement; and recognize and reward staff when warranted.
  • Set the example of professional behavior and hold employees accountable for their performance attitude and behavior.
  • Establish individual and team goals that are in alignment with a sales and service culture and meet with each employee monthly to review previous months performance and develop plans to improve employees performance when goals are not met.
  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission vision core values and brand.
  • Train monitor and coach staff to effectively sell/refer products and services to members while ensuring quality service standards are being maintained.
  • Responsible for conducting staff meetings that inspire communication teamwork and direction to employees consistent with the credit union mission and values.
  • Maintain a functional level of knowledge and procedural expertise in all credit union products and services.
  • Participate in and assist in conjunction with Business Development and Community outreach programs to establish and maintain relationships that will enhance the growth and recognition of the credit union.
  • Provide One Member at a Time service in developing and submitting loan applications and providing clear and detailed notes.
  • Handle complaints registered by members involving the Branch Office. Keep management informed.
  • Communicate goals and direction with branch staff to ensure clear understanding of rules regulations requirements and expectations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all branch staff follow internal audit compliance security measures and operational policies and procedures including but not limited to the prevention of losses through fraudulent activity. Responsible for determining that proper controls of cash checks and money orders as well as overnight depository items are properly controlled and handled in accordance with Credit Union procedures.
  • Responsible for proper security control and documentation of all records.
  • Responsible for coordination of branch maintenance needs with designated facilities representative or contractor.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports for senior leadership
  • Develop strong relationships with the local community and promote credit union services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in sales management preferably within a financial institution
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance
  • Strong knowledge of credit union or banking operations lending and member services
  • Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and implement strategic decisions
  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance or a related field preferred
