The Instructional Lead Coach directs and coordinates educational administrative and counseling activities of primary and secondary schools by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

This is a fulltime position. Ability to work independently typically 40 hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday typically 95 (or 84) or as defined by the school.

Essential Functions Duties and Responsibilities: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.   • Support rigorous instruction that is grounded in a deep knowledge of the standards shaped by formative assessment and built on strong practices.
  • Provides educators with easytounderstand instructional resources in math and ELA. These resources enable them to plan rigorous standardsaligned lessons and adjust instruction based on student understanding.
  • Monitor teacher access to a comprehensive quiz tool (ANET) that allows teachers to create standardsbased formative assessments that target student understanding of ELA and Math lessons
  • Deliver best practices from our network partner and district CAO at regular professional development convenings throughout the school year.
  • Help AAs ensure that teachers are planning lessons that reflect the rigor expected by new standards
  • Work with AAs to provide consistent and robust feedback to teachers on their lesson plans
  • Help build a deeper knowledge alignment around the expectations of the standards across the school
  • Work with AAs to ensure that teachers are analyzing and acting on formative assessments effectively
  • Help educators set and focus on academic priorities that reflect the needs revealed by examination of student work
  • Support the AAs in creating databased professional learning for educators using coaching support and virtual learning tools to accelerate growth
  • Help AAs plan professional learning and use common planning time to strengthen classroom instruction
  • Support AAs with outlining actionable feedback for teachers and to identify trends across classrooms and next steps for support and professional learning
  • Help AAs understand the extent to which classroom instruction reflects the expectations of the standards

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Education or related AND
  • Five (5) years of related experience and/or training OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrable leadership organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 30 % of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
