Job Description
The Drr Group is one of the worlds leading mechanical and plant engineering firms with outstanding automation expertise. The Drr Group operates in the market with five divisions:
- Paint and Final Assembly Systems: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industry
- Application Technology: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesives
- Clean Technology Systems: exhaustair purification systems and energy efficiency technology
- Measuring and Process Systems: balancing systems as well as assembly testing and filling technology
- Woodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery and equipment for the woodworking industry
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the operation of a Laser.
- Will operate an Overhead Crane and Forklift.
- Operate a fiber laser both sheet and rotary index
- Manually operate milling machines and engine lathes.
- Proper rigging and lifting of plate product.
- Manual layout of holes and arc segments on sheet metal and plate products.
- Manual drilling and tapping operations.
- Communicate ideas for improved operational processes to reduce cost improve quality and increase throughput.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Be able to read Blueprints forming and hole layout etc.
- Be able to read a tape measure (metric and standard) and dial calipers.
- Understand cut conditions and Laser machine set up.
- Will need to be able to understand bend directions formed views and bend allowances for Press Brake.
- Be able to use and read a protractor and square.
- Be able to follow a nest sheet for cut lengths and quantity.
- Be able to understand what gas and consumables to use for material being cut for Plasma Table.
- Being able to layout hole patterns and drilling required hole and tap size per drawing.
- Basic understanding of how program code works
Additional Requirements
- Pass a preemployment drug test and be able to pass a drug test at any time during employment.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook
