Reports to: Assessment Facilitator

Department: Instruction

Summary

The Information Systems Technician Assessment Support provides technical administrative and customer service support for district and state assessment platforms. This position supports system setup account access troubleshooting and training resource development for platforms such as FastBridge ACT WYTOPP and others. The role requires the ability to learn new systems create userfriendly documentation and assist staff with platform use. The technician works under the supervision of the Assessment Facilitator contributing to data accuracy training rollout and effective assessment implementation.

Maintain user accounts permissions and rosters within district and state assessment platforms (e.g. FastBridge WYTOPP ACT).

Support the Assessment Facilitator with setup and rollout of online and inperson assessments.

Troubleshoot user access issues platform errors and basic data mismatches.

Respond to staff support requests in a timely and courteous manner.

Assist with validating data imports/exports between SIS and assessment tools.

Create and update quick guides video walkthroughs and FAQs to support platform use.

Participate in testing of new features or changes within supported platforms.

Prepare and distribute training materials and support resources.

Monitor ongoing system accuracy assessment completion rates test settings and data syncing.

Provide reporting assistance to schools and departments as directed.

Communicate effectively with school site staff instructional leaders and Department of Technology personnel.

Attend relevant trainings and assist with assessment platform configuration as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or relevant coursework in education data systems or IT preferred 2 years of relevant experience in technical support data entry or educational technology preferred
  • Criminal background check required
  • Valid drivers license and insurability required for travel between district sites

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing demands
  • Working knowledge of educational assessment platforms (e.g. FastBridge ACT WYTOPP)
  • Ability to learn new platforms quickly and apply that knowledge with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel Word Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Skill in creating userfriendly documentation and help materials
  • Attention to detail in managing student data and testing rosters
  • Understanding of student privacy requirements and secure data handling Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
