Job Description:
Responsible for leading an HDL team consisting of union mechanics to complete aircraft modification projects.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for monitoring budgets organizing daily tasks to meet milestones understanding IMS schedule and driving the overall performance on aircraft modification projects. Establishing and tracking daytoday production requirements that includes budget safety quality and performance. Team will consist of between eight to twelve hourly mechanics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. OR in lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- FAA Certified A&P.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with general aviation military aircraft or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting Government FAA and Company Aviation Safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to readinterpret mechanical drawings electrical schematics and general aviation knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience with military commercial or general aviation aircraft.
- Demonstrated experience with analytical analysis and apply risk mitigation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution team building and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated experience modifying aircraft.
- Ability to work all shifts including ability to work Overtime as needed.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Boeing Wide/Narrow body Gulfstream platform experience.
- VIP or comms upgrade experience.
- SixSigma or other similar Lean methodology training/certifications.
- Demonstrated experience with SAP or other similar ERP system.
