JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Upholstery Technician II
LOCATION: Dallas TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Fabricate and install flat panels curtains and simple covers per engineering drawings/specifications
-
Work with fabric vinyl leather composites adhesives sewing machines hand tools and power tools
-
Cut and surge carpets cover bulkheads and install panels (sidewalls headliners hatches windows etc.)
-
Fabricate simple metal parts as required
-
Use material tracking system to create part demands track squawks and sign off work
-
Support process improvements to increase safety reduce cost and improve efficiency (Lean Manufacturing practices)

Use Corridor system for part tracking and work documentation
-
Maintain compliance with safety 5S and PPE requirements
-
Identify and address unsafe conditions
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines sergers and/or hand tools in upholstery or carpet trades
-
Aerospace industry experience preferred
-
Proficiency in reading writing and understanding English
-
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
-
Skilled with measuring tools and basic math
-
Computer literacy required
-
Physical ability to climb ladders work in confined areas lift up to 40 lbs and work any shift

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
