Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary

Summary:

  • Perform inspections maintenance and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on mid-to-large size aircraft systems and structures.

  • Work with minimal supervision while ensuring compliance with FAA and internal inspection standards.

  • Coordinate aircraft movement and support less experienced technicians.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment using Lean/6S practices.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience OR 4 years of aviation maintenance experience including 2 years working on mid/large-size aircraft

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Working knowledge of:

    • FAA regulations

    • Process specifications

    • Repair Station and Quality Control manuals

    • Company maintenance policies and procedures

  • Ability to read write speak and understand English

  • Ability to complete documentation accurately (CMP cards work order sign-offs etc.)

  • Proficient in operating ground support equipment (e.g. power carts hydraulic mules tow tugs)

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting flight tests and final phase testing

  • Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement and 6S workplace practices

  • Experience training or mentoring less experienced technicians

  • Ability to work effectively in hangar and ramp environments

  • Strong understanding of safe storage and handling of aircraft components and customer property
