Two years of post high school education or higher or be able to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota for designated Education Assistant positions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires constant handeye mindeye coordination hearing; intermittent holding repetitive motions with wrists hands fingers opening pulling reaching sitting sorting speaking talking turning and writing. Frequent bending over carrying filing grasping keyboarding and stooping are required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated skill using a computer for word processing and data entry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
Assists teacher in identifying student needs.
Provides tutorial assistance for students in all classes.
Prepares instruction and supplementary materials.
Keeps records.
Checks papers workbooks homework and tests.
Assists students with makeup work.
Maintains student confidentiality.
Assists teachers in supervising students in the classroom.
May be requested by administration to transport students using personal vehicle.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
PAY INFORMATION
Level G starting at $17.85 per hour

Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday8:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 30minute unpaid break
0.875FTE35 hours per week 9 months
