Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospitallocated in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers if accepted are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Spencer Hospital Surgery Center performs amultitude of specialties including: general orthopedics ophthalmology urology ENT and endoscopy averaging 550 surgeries per month. Surgery business hours are MonFri with minimal on call weekend and holiday rotations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the Operating Room area
- Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
- Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
- Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate agerelated patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients
Requirements:
- Must be a caring communicator flexible able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
- IA RN license
- BLS and ACLSare required
- One year of Medical/Surgical or similar nursing experience required
Schedule Two Shifts Available:
- 72 hours a pay period
- 8 9 hour variable day shifts in a 2 week period
- 70 hours a pay period
- 7 10 hour variable day shifts in a 2 week period
- Minimal oncall weeknights and weekend rotation
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
