Job Schedule: 1st shift9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities under general supervision of the Facilities Manager.
With thorough knowledge and experience in plumbing systems this position will require installation repair and preventive maintenance of our water plant boilers steam generators fire suppression drainage pneumatic vacuum and nitrogen systems. The position requires experience with layout threading cutting and mounting of various types of tubing and pipes including plastics copper cast iron steel and stainless steel. This position will repair and replace traps sinks toilets eye wash and shower stations
Essential Functions:
- 60% Repair and maintenance of existing facilities
- 30% New construction
- 10% 6S general shop upkeep cleaning or organizing
- Must prioritizesafety and environmentally consciousness.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4years of prior related experience.
- Requires a Journeyman Plumber Licence or Back Flow Prevention Worker Certificate or ability to obtain them within one year.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Master Plumber License andBoiler Operators License preferred.
- Waterworks Operator License Level 5 or ability to obtain both within one year.
- Proficient computer skills (such as MS Word and Excel including use of formulas) strongly desired
