We provide endtoend financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in building operating and innovating our Cloud datacenters.
We support operations safety security business development and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions drive cash flow and ultimately delight our customers.
Key job responsibilities
As a member of this team you will work with both Global and Regional AWS (Business and Finance) leadership to:
Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations
Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
Manage the financial planning and month end close processes. Model analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting forecasting and business decisions
Perform detailed NPV analysis in support of Strategic Initiatives and goals taken by finance and business teams. Support financial analysis for adhoc projects and as needed.
Analyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives
Monitor compliance with controls and systems and developing new processes to support the fastgrowing global AWS business
Preparing detailed financial models for business segments drive business initiatives and identify implement and deliver key operational efficiencies
Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement
Lead a team to effectively address priorities and provide career coaching
A day in the life
Work independently and selfmotivate in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Prioritizing workloads and partnering crossfunctionally while delivering against tight deadlines
Developing/optimizing finance processes for speed agility and insight
Dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insights
Learn and be curious deep diving complex business processes in a rapidly evolving and fast paced business environment
Directly supervise teams and developing people
Interact with financial systems such as Cognos TM1
12 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
Due to the nature of work performed this position requires that the selected candidate be a U.S. citizen.
5 years of hiring leading and developing teams experience
8 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
8 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
8 years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
5 years of working with senior staff (e.g. csuite) experience
MBA or CPA
3 years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
10 years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
8 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
8 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
8 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
10 years of hiring leading and developing teams experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $137700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227700/year in our highest geographic market.
