Location
This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa Canada office at least three days a week.
About the team
The Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for the delivery management and monitoring of Kinaxis products and cloud infrastructure in our production offerings. We are responsible for ensuring service availability and performance to our customers globally 7x24x365. We develop automation geared towards production operations using modern platform tooling.
Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required to obtain CGRP Security Clearance a requirement of the role.
This is a fulltime 8 or 12month position starting September 2025.
To be eligible for a Coop or Intern position at Kinaxis you must either be currently enrolled in fulltime education or if you are a recent/upcoming graduate your graduation date must be within 12 months of the placement end date.
What you will do
As a member of our Site Reliability Engineering team you will be responsible for delivering SoftwareasaService to our customers globally.
- Deliver customer excellence making sure we meet all SLAs
- Work in a highly collaborative team
- Deploy upgrade and support numerous applications services and operating systems
- Exposure to infrastructure; VMWare Kubernetes networking etc
- Exposure to public clouds; Azure and GCP
- Troubleshoot system performance and application health issues
- Take ownership and accountability of the incident resolution process
- Must adhere to all security and confidentiality requests for this position
- May perform work on additional projects upon request
What we are looking for
- Enrolled in a postsecondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline
- Proven strong troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident due to CGRP security requirements
Things that would definitely help
- Knowledge of remote system administration
- Understanding of system performance monitoring
- Knowledge of modern SaaS technologies
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Ansible
