Job Description

Womens Safety Services SA (WSSSA) is a leading provider of support services for women and children experiencing domestic & family violence. . We are happy to announce an opportunity for a Womens Advocate to join us in our ongoing work to achieve this vision.

THE ROLE

The Womens Safety Contact Program (WSCP) is a Statewide telephone based service that provides casework services to protected person(s) and their children affected by domestic and family violence whose partners (or former partners) are involved in a Domestic Violence Abuse Prevention Program.

An opportunity to join the program as a Womens Advocate on a part time basis 0.7 FTE has arisen.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this position you will have significant knowledge and experience in the provision of services to women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

  • A Degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association ofSocial Workers .
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the provision of case management responses and casework intervention
  • Understanding of risk assessments and safety management planning;
  • Previous experience working in c crisis or domestic violence ore related setting;
  • Strong interpersonal skills high empathy and able to support clients of diverse backgrounds;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex caseloads;
  • Experience in managing electronic client records and strong attention to detail;
  • A current full drivers licence and be eligible for or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
