About the opportunity
Step into a role that truly makes a difference! As a Youth Services Officer youll be at the forefront of empowering and transforming the lives of young people in our community. Your impact will be profound and lasting.
You will make an impact by
- Developing delivering and evaluating a range of engaging programs events projects and services that meet the current and future needs of young people across the Cardinia Shire.
- Working directly with young people to assess their individual needs develop goals and support them to access appropriate activities programs and specialist support services.
- Engaging young people through conversation and/or activities when rostered at Councils Youth Facility.
- Contributing to the implementation of the Youth Services Business Plan
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in youth work social work psychology or relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in working with young people and program design.
- Knowledge of contemporary youth issues and local/regional networks.
- Effective communication conflict management and networking skills.
- Ability to manage time prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to safety continuous improvement and quality service delivery.
- Some weekend and afterhours work may be required.
