Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for processing payroll transactions for Caesars Entertainment in accordance with departmental and functional procedures internal controls and applicable state and federal regulations. Additional responsibilities include completing journal entries and account reconciliation reviews preparing payroll audit deliverables conducting data analysis researching variances and reviewing applicable taxes.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee Payroll audits reconciliations variance research for all properties.
  • Completes account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance with established controls policies procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Complete daily weekly monthly and annual processes for accuracy

  • Assist in promoting change management as the need arises
  • Proactively provides feedback to leadership on people process technology and compliance
  • Coordinate the production of documents in response to requests from regulators internal auditors independent auditors properties and others as necessary
  • Ensure accurate reporting and demonstrate job ownership for all items completed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry accounting experience preferred
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements is preferred
  • Working knowledge Oracle GL and Oracle Payroll systems preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be a team player in a professional environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including knowledge of Excel functions and formulas.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays if needed
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
