DoD Clearance: SecretMission Processing Test Engineering is seeking to fill an Electrical Engineer. The primary responsibility for this position is to develop and sustain manufacturing and service test equipment in Test Solutions Department. The engineer who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills for both hardware and software. This position will heavily utilize software development and debug skills on multirack test stations. These test stations include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: network analyzers spectrum analyzers oscilloscopes DMMs logic analyzers fiber optic measuring devices optical measuring devices power supplies and electronic loads. This position also requires development and support of ESS and vibration test equipment and software suites.
What You Will DO:
You will be reverse engineering existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
You will work unsupervised multitask and delegate work to support technicians engineering support staff and peers.
You will be utilizing Software skills in LabView Visual Basic JAVA and .net
You will be working in small teams through hardware builds (parts ordering build coordination etc.)
You will coordinate test equipment design reviews and ensuring the generation of appropriate design documentation
You will design and implement activities required to deploy the project test solutions to worldwide destinations
You will review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments
You will prepare and present project / technical information to peers internal management and customers
You will coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
This position will be located in Cedar Rapids but the candidate may be required to travel on occasion
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Proven experience with software skills in Python and C# are required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in reviewing product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments
