Position Summary
We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to design develop and oversee the installation of electrical systems across a variety of projects including commercial office healthcare educational industrial government and federal buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver highquality efficient electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems tailored to project requirements across multiple sectors.
- Prepare detailed electrical design drawings schematics load calculations and equipment specifications.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with local state and national codes (e.g. NEC) and energy efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with architects mechanical engineers and general contractors to integrate electrical systems seamlessly with building infrastructure.
- Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical installations to ensure compliance with plans and safety regulations.
- Assist with project cost estimation budgeting and scheduling related to electrical systems.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend necessary upgrades or improvements to electrical systems.
- Support commissioning activities and troubleshoot system issues during and postconstruction.
- Lead and manage electrical designers promoting technical excellence and efficiency.
- Oversee disciplinespecific tasks and smaller projects contributing to infrastructure and innovation.
- Serve as a technical expert for specialized facilities equipment or engineering functions.
- Guide and review the work of engineering professionals to maintain highquality standards.
- Lead complex engineering tasks requiring coordination across multiple disciplines.
Essential Skills Experience & Qualifications for Electrical Engineers
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- 4 to 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards including NEC.
- Experience with electrical system design for commercial institutional healthcare or government projects.
- Proficient in preparing electrical drawings load calculations and specifications.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
