Job Description

TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

NOTE: This position is for Indiana. Must be within 30 miles of New Albany Indiana.

Position Summary

The Technical Sales Representative is a critical bridge between our clients and our cybersecurity solutions. This individual will work closely with prospects and customers to understand their IT and security needs and align them with our managed services. Youll collaborate with internal technical teams to scope solutions and drive the sales cycle from discovery through closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert during the sales process articulating the value and capabilities of our MSSP offerings
  • Engage with Clevel executives IT leaders and security teams to identify pain points and align solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations proof of concepts (POCs) and technical presentations
  • Respond to RFPs RFIs and security questionnaires with detailed accurate information
  • Collaborate with security engineers account managers and onboarding teams to ensure smooth handoff postsale
  • Stay current with industry trends threat intelligence and compliance standards (e.g. NIST CIS SOC 2 HIPAA)
  • Help define and refine technical sales collateral and proposals based on customer feedback
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to pipeline development

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in technical sales presales engineering or solutions consulting preferably in cybersecurity or managed services
  • Strong understanding of security operations SIEM/SOC endpoint protection firewalls threat detection & response and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with tools such as SentinelOne CrowdStrike Splunk Microsoft Defender or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and supporting enterprise sales cycles
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Certifications (a plus not required)

  • CompTIA Security
  • CISSP CEH or similar
  • Vendor certifications (e.g. Microsoft Security CrowdStrike Fortinet)
