Job Description

School Adjustment Counselor Middle SchoolManchester Essex Regional School District is a high achieving community committed to educating all students inspiring passion instilling a love of learning and developing local and global citizenship. We are currently seeking a highly qualified and collaborative Middle School School Adjustment Counselor. This position requires strong interpersonal skills leadership excellent communication and writing skills. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team of educators in a high performing district that is committed to balancing whole child needs and rigorous academic program. Job Responsibilities Include: Counseling for schoolbased needs Individual counseling Social skills groups Shortterm groups on selected topics Act as liaison for Section 504 students and students attending the Learning Center Assist with transition planning and support for grade 6 students Antibullying program implementation and support Implement socialemotional curriculum as assigned Serve on Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) Serve on the School Safety Committee Academic monitoring general education students Consultation to grade level teams on student academic behavioral and socialemotional needs Parent support and consultation and serve as the schoolhome link for students with social emotional and medical needs.
