You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailElement has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and nonroutine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules code of conduct and company policies and procedures.
Salary: $24 $32/hr DOE
Test Setup Read specifications from technical documents (i.e. test plans/procedures) identify/prepare test equipment
Perform Testing Monitor tests per specifications/procedures; interact with customer if needed; troubleshoot; document all pertinent data
Data Processing Verify review and document all pertinent data after testing; finalize data and provide to project engineer
Lab Maintenance/Posttest Breakdown Physically remove test items; maintain lab by cleaning all equipment keeping calibrated instruments current and organizing supplies
Perform other duties as needed
Basic understanding of routine electrical and mechanical operations
Basic knowledge of Oscilloscopes Spectrum Analyzers and other data collection instruments
Basic knowledge of circuitry design troubleshooting safety practices and wiring
Must be able to use standard instrumentation i.e. temperature probes thermocouples pressure transducers and accelerometers RF Signal Generators RF Amplifiers
Basic usage of Microsoft Office suite and other computer skills
Preferred Avionics Technician background
Prepare specimens for testing in accordance with Testing Specification
Knowledge in EMI Testing standards MILSTD461 RTCA DO160 MILSTD704 MILSTDB / 070 etc
