Job Description
BASIS Ed Shavano Campus is seeking experienced candidates for a College Guidance Counselor to join our amazing team!

seeks fulltime College Counselors who will be responsible for teaching a daily college counseling workshop to 12th graders completing college counseling reports serving as the Senior Research Project (SRP) coordinator organizing college admissions visits each fall conducting family college counseling evenings meeting oneonone with 9th and 10th graders during the academic year instructing students on completing college admissions applications and financial aid applications and obtaining recommendations and additional responsibilities as needed. Additionally this individual will be responsible for developing new program ideas coleading college information evening sessions and developing and maintaining college planning and career assessment and readiness software such as Naviance.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum: A Bachelors degree. A Masters degree is preferred.
Preferred: Together with a high level of educational attainment a successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills in speaking with parents students; editing essays and writing letters of recommendation. Critically an applicant must possess a high GPA in his/her major excellent employment recommendations and experience working with students and parents.
