This position reports to the Correctional Associate Warden for Programs at a multi custody male correctional facility. Job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing technical and administrative supervision to the Correctional Case Analysts and other Diagnostic Center support staff.
- Performing the process of admitting orientating interviewing testing recording and making specific recommendations on each offender committed to the NC State prison system.
- Assigning cases to staff and coordinating schedules with various other clinics.
- Coordinating Diagnostic Center operations with the facility head and with the custody administration of the divisional complex and geographical area.
As of January 1 2025 there are new increase adjustments to the state pay plan which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission effective January 1 2025. The new salary range will be $45926 $80369.

The salary grade for this position isNC12(Salary Range:$45926 $80369). State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as or lower than their current position. If selected for this position a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience funding availability and internal equity. Based upon these factors a pay increase MAY result.
About Central Prison:
Central Prison in Raleigh NC has been in continuous service since 1884. It serves as the admission point into prison for adult male felons sentenced to 20 years or more and is the main medical and mental health center for male offenders. It also houses special populations including death row and safe keepers.
While security requires that certain offenders remain in their cells there are more than 260 offender job assignments that include working in the kitchen laundry or canteen. Offenders also work as barbers janitors and clerks. Offenders can attend substance abuse group therapy meetings Bible studies or other worship services.

- Demonstrated skills in communicating effectively with offenders/prison staff/other constituents.
- Demonstrated skills in supervising and/or managing a programs operation.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in a Human Services field from an appropriately accredited institutionANDtwo years of experience as a Correctional Case Analyst; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualification:Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
