Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Senior Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Supply Chain leaders within Procurement Material Management and Subcontracts assuring that all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of required goods and services in support of US Department of Defense contracts are accomplished. The applicant will execute measure report optimize and systematically negotiate all acquisitions to drive quality ontime delivery and cost savings; playing a critical role in developing and maintaining good relationships with our suppliers while maintaining compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Strategic analysis of supply chains across Procurement Material Management and Subcontracts
- Development and execution of supplier development and category management focused on resiliency total cost and lead time reduction in support of business needs
- Augment and support sector supply chain teams on tactical and strategic supplier engagements identify opportunities drive continuous improvement and special projects
- Develop advanced competencies in strategic sourcing and materials functions primarily focused on developing innovative efficient supply lines with competitive cycle time and best total cost in a global stakeholder system
- Assess recommend and implement improvements to systems and processes across the segments supply chain function in support of an efficient and high performing supply chain
- Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders functional peers suppliers and customers.
- Support the office of the Vice President Operations CS and the CS supply chain function as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field and 12 years of prior relevant experience; or Masters degree and minimun of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of worldclass supply chain practices processes and systems in support of highmix manufacturing environments including the basics requirements of procurement under FAR/DFARS and Earned Value Management Systems
- Ability to analyze large and complex data and translate to clear winning actions and strategies for the business
- Ability to develop strong working relationships build trust and lead without authority
- Demonstrated track record working in crossfunctional teams and influencing organizational change
