Job Description

POSITION: #153CLS0525:

After School Programs (ASP) Site Coordinator

Newbery Elementary

8hours perday/210 days per year (20 days in the summer)

Salary:$26.06 /hour

BEGINNING 2526 SCHOOL YEAR

DESCRIPTION:The goal of the 21st CCLC is to raise math and literacy levels improve academic performance strengthen social relationships and provide meaningful opportunities for students in the After School Programs. The Site Coordinator will report to the 21st CCLC Project Director. The Site Coordinator will coordinate and supervise all afterschool and summer activities at the 21st CCLC Program site. Activities may be a combination of onsite and online.

Responsibilities: Develop implement and coordinate all aspects of the After School Program including the coordination of enrichment activities academic supports and family activities; Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of people including students parents community members school staff and administrators; Direct and participate in an equitable student recruitment approach for program participation; Recruit train supervise and coordinate After School Program staff; Uphold district and building safety and supervision guidelines and procedures; Oversee the supervision of students in all program activities; Collaborate with local organizations service providers and community organizations to coordinate opportunities and resources for students and families; Establish and maintain student attendance accounting and reporting procedures;Keep accurate and timely records concerning student participation and program activities; Work with consultants and other staff to evaluate program effectiveness and bring continuous improvements to the program; Prepare review revise and disseminate marketing and informational materials related to expanded day programs; Prepare and present oral written and statistical reports on program operation and effectiveness; Attend meetings that may occur outside the regular worksite and work hours as required;Ability to:Work well and collaboratively with a diverse community; Train supervise and provide work direction to others; Supervise and direct students effectively; Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with diverse groups of people; Identify program needs develop new programs and enhance existing programs; Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others; Maintain databases and related accounting systems; Prepare and edit reports and other materials Perform related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in education counseling social work or a related field required. Two years of successful elementary or middle school teaching counseling or other experience working in a schoolbased or communitybased programs; Demonstrated experience in promoting the success and achievement of lowincome students from culturally diverse backgrounds; Work well with students and develop and implement programs to help them improve academic and social skills; Strong computer and organizational skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; Work well and collaboratively with diverse community; Train supervise and provide work direction to others; Supervise and direct students effectively; Communicate effectively and the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of people; Identify program needs develop new programs and enhance existing programs; Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others; Maintain databases and related accounting systems; Prepare and edit reports and other materials; Punctuality and attendance are important functions of this position.
