The Department of Assessments uses a mass appraisal process which is the use of standardized procedures for collecting data and appraising property to ensure that all properties within a municipality neighborhood or area are valued uniformly and equitably.

Any combination of recent and relevant education and/or experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the scope of work described above to include:
Strong organizational analytical critical thinking communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
Customer focuswith a dedication to integrity ethics trust and values.
Agenuine interest in residential real estate which will include field inspections in different settings and environmental conditions.
Anaptitude for spatial relationships and a desire to learn the skills necessary to interpret construction plans specifications and blueprints.
Proficiency and ease in usingbusiness productivity tools and cutting edge technology in your everyday work; (We use iPads Microsoft Office Suite and other assessment related tools)
Exceptional listening skillsand the ability to keep up with evolving business needs through flexibility and rapid integration of new concepts.

WORK LOCATION: The primary work location for this position is the Black River Office Park 900 Oakesdale Ave. SW Renton WA. A combination of inoffice and remote telework is currently required for this assignment. Field work is also a requirement for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is performed mainly in an office and remote telework setting and there will be field work also required to inspect properties throughout King County.
