Job Description
The Foreman assists the Shop Manager in managing the operations and personnel for a particular location. The Foreman position will manage daytoday activities of all maintenance processes within a branch location which include work planning human resources performance management safety and environmental.
Aside from the above this position will manage workflow and work assignments interact directly with Drivers to fulfill their needs and resolve issues. This position is responsible for the management of the location performance against metrics to meet and/or exceed assigned objectives. The Foreman is responsible for adhering to all Hirschbach Maintenance Operations policies and procedures. This may also be a development position to prepare incumbents for the Shop Manager role.
Duties & Responsibilities- Responsible for work analysis planning scheduling and assigning work to technicians productivity tracking and optimization shift and shop meetings and RO review and approval.
- Ensuring and maintaining Driver satisfaction.
- Ensuring that maintenance standards are always met.
- Monitor employee retention and growth.
- Ensure a safe and productive operation through proper implementation and administration of company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required.
- Demonstrated success in another Hirschbach role may be substituted for this requirement.
- Ability to professionally represent Hirschbach and competently interact with customer management required.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills ability to manage multiple tasks and the ability to act independently.
- Capacity to understand labor and quality planning.
- Candidate must possess proven managerial skills knowledge of execution of performance management process.
