VERSANT is looking for a Director HR Operations Core HR to join their team! The Director HR Operations Core HR will report to the VP HR Operations and will lead the core operational functions of our HR Operations team. This role will focus on optimizing organizational structure ensuring seamless personnel administration managing the full employee lifecycle and overseeing the administration of employee benefits. The ideal candidate brings a balance of bigpicture thinking and operational excellence with a passion for building scalable systems that support both business goals and employee experience.

Responsibilities:

Organizational Management:

  • Design maintain and update organizational structures in alignment with business strategy and growth.
  • Own and manage job architecture position control and headcount tracking across departments.
  • Partner with finance and business leaders to ensure workforce planning aligns with budget and strategic objectives.

Personnel Administration:

  • Oversee HR administrative functions including employee records employment agreements data accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance across all employee records and HR systems.
  • Lead the administration of employee changes (promotions transfers terminations etc.) with speed accuracy and compliance.

Employee Lifecycle Operations:

  • Develop and manage standardized processes for the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Improve employee onboarding experiences to drive early engagement and productivity.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to implement effective offboarding processes including exit interviews and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor lifecycle KPIs and employee data trends to inform operational improvements.

Benefits Operations:

  • Oversee daytoday administration of employee benefits programs including health dental vision retirement leaves of absence and wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with brokers carriers and vendors to ensure accurate compliant and efficient benefits operations.
  • Manage open enrollment processes employee education and benefits communications.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA ACA COBRA HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications :

What youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field; Masters degree or HR certification (e.g. SPHR SHRMSCP) a plus.
  • 8 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in HR Operations leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of HR Operations best practices especially in organizational structure employee lifecycle management and benefits.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. SAP) and a strong understanding of HR data reporting and analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Solid project management problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy confidentiality and compliance.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Outlook

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must be willing to travel for work related business if necessary

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the Englewood Cliffs NJ office a minimum of three days per week. 

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits including medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) paid leave tuition reimbursement and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $165000 $185000 (bonus and LTI eligible).
