Consultancy Manager Offshore Wind

Role Context:

Due to some internal role changes we are looking for aConsultancy Manager/Principal Technical Consultantto join our Wind Power team. The role is based either inSpain led from our Madrid office; or the UK preferably from London/Southeast England.

Youll lead manage and motivate a team of other specialist consultants and contribute to exciting projects in the offshore wind supporting our growth in energy transition. You will work with our wider offshore wind and inhouse advisory teams to provide a range of services and expertise to clients. An agile flexible approach is essential with the opportunity to be involved in a range of areas and regions from engaging with clients to realise their needs; to delivering for our customers on cutting edge projects.

Asan experienced Consultant specialising in Offshore Wind you will beresponsible for leading and supporting growth within a team of consultants working across a range of consulting and advisory scopes

Youll be:

Involved in the execution of several of the following technical activities aligned to your track record and skills in our global portfolio of projects and customers:

  • Delivery of advisory consultancy and early development services including feasibility and conceptual studies
  • Developing and optimising the layout development for offshore wind farms using industry and inhouse software and digital tools
  • Influencing the strategy for our consultancy offering in Offshore Wind
  • Supporting our clients in the early stages of project development; developing robust business cases for projects supporting applications for licenses evaluating technologies
  • Leading due diligence/technical advisory scopes for customers and lenders
  • Design review and assessment of offshore wind farms to ensure that the engineering developed by the supply chain meets the project requirements
  • Support marketing and business development activities for consulting services
  • Working with colleagues from across the Worley group to deliver crossdiscipline services to our customers

Youll have:

  • Experience in offshore wind energy consulting advisory and/or early phase project development work (minimum 8 years)
  • Practical consulting/delivery experience
  • Experience in delivering study work and contributing to high quality proposals
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to produce concise reports and presentations appropriate for sharing with all levels
  • Confidence to work at all levels of a client organization
  • The desire to play a key role in a growing business
  • A good track record in people/team management
  • A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in a suitably applicable field (engineering renewable energy or similar)
  • Technical / handson profile with a proven ability to engage and communicate with clients / stakeholders
  • English language is a requirement (written and spoken)

The following are highly desirable but not essential:

  • Existing industry connections and a track record in successful business development in the offshore wind industry
  • Due diligence experience
  • International experience
