Tasks

Your Role

Objectives of Procurement is to ensure stable financial performance and ongoing supply continuity across its wideranging supply chains.

Procurement is a key stakeholder within Symrise and it interacts with every part of the business acting as a gatekeeper for any supplier led innovation costsavings initiatives supply continuity sustainability etc.

This position is located in Parets del Valls (industrial area)

The objective for this role is :

  • Define regional strategic sourcing strategy across predefined Flavor categories/ subcategories in alignment with tasks allocated between Global and Regional Procurement Managers/ Buyers
  • Monitor business impact and risks of regional sourcing strategy. Connect with business community on category where needed.
  • Directly manage supervise and coach the team(2) : Procurement / Inbound Planner
  • Negotiate commercial and supply positions for defined raw materials. Identifies and negotiates regional/local supply agreements where appropriate.
  • Coordinates volume forecast market analysis and trend information in line with global best practices and category split.
  • Participates in S&OP process and raises awareness to appropriate levels in the organization regarding supply/demand concerns.
  • Approve new SKU registration as is needed
  • Source and approve new external / 3rd party sources (as required) and subsequent SAP PIR setup.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve external / 3rd party supplier base supply security and TCO.
  • Support team in identifying existing / potential issues and improvement opportunities before managing them via dedicated action plan(s).
  • Develop business relationships within key supplier accounts to manage performance quality improvement productivity and service level.
  • On top the Team Lead will be responsible for Strategic Procurement including Negotiations as well as approx.. 25 % of Inbound Planning tasks

Requirements

About You

  • Degree in Procurement/Purchasing Food Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years job experience in strategic procurement.
  • Demostrated high leadership skills : developing coaching and the ability to positively challenge is a key attribute/skill of this role
  • Strong understanding of strategic procurement processes methods and tools.
  • Experience in a matrix organisation.
  • Strategic thinker with a conceptual approach.
  • Experience in project management and transformation
  • Good prioritisation and structured way of working.
  • Open and proactive communicator good presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact in an appropriate manner to the target group and curious about intercultural contexts.
  • Negotiation skills even in complex environments.
  • Computer skills: MS Office (proficient with Excel & PPT especially) SAP.
  • Fluent English mandatory spanish advanced. Other languages are an advantatge.
  • Willingness to travel
